Kid Koala gained notoriety for his innovative style, jazzy hip-hop layered with whimsical samples and abstract soundscapes blended with rock guitar. He toured with Radiohead, Money Mark, and Detron 3030.

"Whether croonin’ or rappin’, Gray Kid’s ironic wit shines through the infectious grooves and sticky melodies. His debut album, …5,6,7,8, equal parts indie rock and hip-hop, a bit smart as well as smart-ass, has been garnering rave reviews."

We're lame

Damn were lame! All we've been doing is posting footage of live music....
This one comes from Herberts live big band.
His live show is bonkers. The theme of the night was pajama jam. No joke.

Saul vs. Henry

So the tripwire.com landed a interview with Henry Rollins, and they chose none other than Saul Williams to conduct it. Thats a pretty tight match-up. The interview is somewhat long, so you'll need some time and patience, and you probably can't read it at work if your boss constantly breathes on top of your dome. It gets good about halfway through, and some of the first questions eventually start to make more sense.
Overall, they touch upon some of the cliche questions, such as politics, bush, pop culture and having a love life, but they get introspective about topics like humanity, poetry, manhood, moshing, civilization, the youth, music sub-cultures and subconcious uprise, or something like that......
We definitely recommend checking it out!
Heres a quote from it:

"Americans suffer from that lack of discussion. I don't know if you watch much UK television. They put Tony Blair in a classroom sized environment and people just fire questions at him. The twenty-two year old black youth stands up and goes, "Ya know what? I think you are a liar."

Click HERE, or the photo above for a link to the interview.

radioheads

hahaha. Wacky radiohead content above. This isn't our clip, but it is from the Friday night show Radiohead did in Berkeley at the Greek Theater on 6/23/06.

Some of us Diaspora folks saw the show the next night from the top of the hill. Nice chill vibes goin' on up there. Drop an email to the diaspora addy for more information on this hilltop location....(smirk)

OH, and HERE is a fresh-takeyoursandlesoff-anddanceinyourliving-room (in my opinion) remix of Radiohead's "Everything in its right place" by Osunlade and Erro. I know this track has been remixed so many times now, but this exceeds all by far.....
